Heat-treated wood is a durable choice for saunas and bathrooms. Heat treatment reduces moisture absorption, increases durability and gives the wood a warm, dark brown colour. Heat-treated aspen is treated in our own factory to a particularly dark brown colour, a shade that differs markedly from many other manufacturers’ products.
Heat-treated wood can be further treated with a sauna-safe wood wax or paraffin oil.
